Attractions in Kenya
Attractions in Kenya are numerous! The most famous is the wildlife, best viewed on Safari with the safety of an experienced guide, but no less an attraction is the beautiful and varied geography of Kenya. Here are some of the wonderful sights that you will see if you come to Kenya.
Mount Kenya

High above the Mount Kenya National Park is the second largest mountain in Africa. Mount Kenya, located in central Kenya is second only to Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania just across the border.
It is so high that you can find glaciers at its peak. There are many hotels around the mountain accommodating tourists here to view the wildlife or climb the mountain or both.
In the Rift Valley Province, Hells Gate offers activities of all kinds to tourists and visitors.
The park, which is located just north of Nairobi, has natural geysers and hot springs, a multitude of wildlife, including many varieties of birds native to the area, and a Geothermal Station.
The park welcomes campers who are interested in taking in the scenery or hiking or rock climbing in the park. Wildlife enthusiasts can find many of the attractions of Kenya right here in the park.
You will see everything from zebras to monkeys and ostriches to vultures, including the rare lammergeyer, or bearded vulture.
Kenyan Coast
Mombasa, Lamu, Watamu and Malindi all lie along Kenya’s rugged coastline.
History is rich in these towns where the influences of the past still lingers; Portuguese sailors, Arab conquerors and British colonialists have all made their mark on Kenya’s Eastern seaboard.
On Lamu island life simply moves at a more gentle pace than elsewhere on earth. The seas around this exotic tropical paradise are home to colourful tropical fish and extraordinary coral reefs.
The attractions of Kenya beckon to you whether you are interested in a Safari, a relaxing vacation near warm waters and soft sands or whether you are interested in the fossil life of this exciting, scenic land.
