Newspapers

We have two main newspapers - Daily Nation and The East African Standard.

The Daily Nation seems to be the more popular one. Metro and The Star are the most recent tabloids.

Television

We have 6 national television stations. Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is the oldest while K24 is the newest.

We have seen KBC really change. It used to be called VOK - meaning voice of Kenya. After liberalisation, many other TV channels went on air changing the face of Broadcasting in Kenya forever.

KTN, Kenya Television Network was the second newcomer to the scene. With it came the 24 hour news channel - CNN International.

Nation Television (NTV) is another popular one. I find that it is the most neutral of all television. It doesn't favour the government or opposition.
